A major event of Western Touraine
For the 18th consecutive year, Langeais welcomes its big market of potters and ceramists.
Coming from the whole France, about 40 exhibitors of diverse horizons invite you, on August 19th and 20st 2017, to an event that has become from now on a major event of Western Touraine.
See, touch and learn
With high-quality exhibitors using many different techniques, the potters’ market of Langeais offers a wide vast range of products of very diverse artistic sensibilities, both utilitarian and ornamental.
Throughout the weekend, many demonstrations will be given by the artists. Beyond the pleasure of eyes, adults and children, hands in the clay, will try modelling, pottery-turning and shaping unique pieces during numerous workshops. A more tactile introduction that might give rise to new vocations…
Outside the potters’ market, a carriage will invit the visitors to discover the exhibitions the “Silk in Touraine“in the Cultural Space “La Douve”
18th Potters Market
On August 19th and 20st 2017 from 9am to 7pm – Square Léon Boyer
Throughout the weekend, a competition is organized. The theme retained for 2017 is “blue“. Every potter will present a piece on this theme, the visitors will vote during the weekend.

- Modelling for adults and children with Caroline Giraud and Michèle Minière
- “Raku” baking with Jean-Pierre Kohut
